Welcome to our Prayer Ministry

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing,give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

With humble hearts the members of VCC take this scripture seriously.  The ministry of prayer is the foundation of all that we do.  Led by Pastor Al, a lay minister and charter member of Village Christian Church, our prayer ministry seeks to hold people carefully in thoughtfulness and intercession.

The tools of the prayer ministry are many.  Each Sunday there is a prayer list in the bulletin with a first name and last initial of persons who have been brought to the congregation for specific prayer needs.  There is a prayer chain that is activated on occasions when prayer is needed in a timely fashion.  Each member of the congregation is contacted on the prayer chain either by email or by phone.  In the Prayer for Every Family program, prayer warriors pray each week for the other members of the congregation.  As a member of the congregation you know that each week there is at least one prayer warrior lifting you up in prayer.  A small group gathers every Tuesday AM at 9:30 to pray together and share joys and concerns.  This Prayer Group is open to anyone is committed to confidentiality and prayerfulness.
