WHY I GO TO VILLAGE CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Clyde: I have been a Christian since my late 20’s and have always attended worship in a Christian Church and maintained membership in a Disciples of Christ congregation. So it was only natural that I would seek out a DOC church when moving to Colo. Springs. My wife Virginia, of 33 years of marriage, and I prefer a smaller congregation so we became members of Village Christian Church.
Virginia: I like a smaller church. After digging a long time to find the difference in denominations, I finally learned “who” the Disciples of Christ are and why. And I think few people understand this. Even DOC people think too many people “go to church” not knowing – or caring – what the background is. Outreach was my interest when I was active and involved – but I am “worn out” in my old age.
